Back to 'normal'

Hello, here we are again.
I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms, not writing a blog for a few days.
This blog is about us at home and away on little trips out and about, around Western Australia. I hope it won't be boring and that I remember to take the camera with me on days out and to take photos whenever we get up to anything at home!
So far, we've been busy discovering what happened whilst we were away in UK. So far that has been -
Phone not working - fixed in 2 days by Telstra.(no charge)
Hot water heater working but no hot water coming down pipes - fixed  by plumber within an hour.($140)
Microwave oven not working - replacement bought from K Mart. ($69)
Reverse cycle air conditioner not working - electrician to booked to fix it (hopefully) ($?)
Motor home battery flat - put on charge for a couple of hours - now okay. (free)
Garden nice and green, but most of that is weeds - hours of weeding required. (when it stops raining).

We were home for a week when we had our first visitors - a group of friends from the local Citroen car club called in for lunch and a chat on their way up north, they were having a touring, camping holiday travelling up the coast to Monkey Mia and around. It was great to see them and the weather was kind too, it stopped raining. After lunch I wondered where half of our guests had disappeared to - they were out in the garden pulling up weeds!! Those kind of visitors are always welcome.

The rain kept falling for the next week but it promised to hold off for a day over the next weekend and we took advantage of that and headed up to the nearby town of Moora for a little motor home gathering.

The Moora show was on and we were able to camp inside the show grounds and enjoy the whole show, including set up on Friday and take down on Sunday. It was a small affair but there were plenty of stalls, food vans, car club outings a funfair and the local pony club gymkhana. It was very well patronised and enjoyed by all. The sun even came out!

There were only 4 motor homes, making it a small outing but everyone had a good time.

The fireworks on Saturday night were spectacular - quite stunning for a small country town, thanks must go the local BGC (building supplies) manager who was responsible for the sponsorship.
Fantastic.

During the night the good weather disappeared again and we had quite a storm.
We had been thinking about staying out and about, going to a few other country towns before going to the State Motor home Rally next weekend in the wheat belt town of Beverley but the stormy weather changed our minds and we headed home on Sunday morning. We were managed to miss the rain on the way home, seeing big black clouds drifting down the coast but never encountering any.
The storm hung around for a couple of days but we've managed to get a little more weeding done.
Next event will be that Rally in Beverley.
